Armstrong mid length – magic

So I’ll have to admit, I was a doubter of a mid length board. I really like the stability of a wide board since I mainly sail Southern Outer Banks of North Carolina, where we get strong side on wind and washing machine conditions. However, I’ve been using the new Armstrong mid length paired with a 890 MAMK2 if it’s light wind or 690 if it’s stronger. That combination has truly been magical. Breaches without a problem, able to go a wing 1 m smaller just since it pumps so well. I’ve had some pretty good almost wipeouts in the rougher surf and it just seems to recover effortlessly. Today I did 14 miles of nothing but riding inside surf. What a blast!
