Code 720S complete for sale - $1500

Hey guys, Im selling my Code 720S setup
It comes with

720S - scratches from reef, filled with orange tinted epoxy and sanded back to spec
75cm standard mast - no chips one minor scratch seen in picture
medium fuselage - no damage
150AR tail - chipped from reef, filled with orange epoxy
all hardware included

Located on Nantucket Massachusetts, buyer pays shipping

Will you sell me the front wing?

Why did you use orange pigment in the epoxy to fill in the scratches? Clear epoxy would make the scratches invisible

what kind of clear epoxy do you use and how do you ensure that there is no spillage outside of the scratches?

Resin research 2000CE from fiberglass Florida

Resin Research Kwick Kick or 2000CE but this one has longer curing time that you don’t need. These resins have UV protections.
The way I do it to minimize the wet sanding and at the same time minimize affecting the areas beyond the scratch is as follow:

  • Clean the scratches with denaturated alkohol.
  • Apply packing clear tape along/around the scratch with the least gap possible (1mm).
  • Apply the epoxy resin on that taped area of the scratch. Remove with your finger (wear nitrile gloves) the excess of the resin by wiping your finger along the scratch.
  • Once resin is set start to wet sand with 2000 wet sand paper, keeping the tape in place. Frequently wipe off the wet area and check how far it is sanded. Once the taped area is sanded almost down to the wing surface then remove the surrounding tape and gently finish sanding to match to the original surface of the wing. It maybe sound like a lot of steps but you will appreciate the results. Just don’t over do it with the sanding.
