DIY wing foil chest harness?

Hello, I am in need of a wing harness. My hands are just not made for winging too often and I end up with blisters.

I am looking to get chest harness, but the only ones I can find are costly! I do however have a mini buoyancy vest and a water backpack too. Do you think it would be possible to convert any of these so a hook can be mounted somehow?

I only wing in max 12-14knots with 5m wing. So not nuclear winds.

Just get a simple belt with a hook and and strap it around your chest - temu has them for cheap! Route the belt through the buoyancy aid, or through the bag straps in case it falls.

There are relatively inexpensive PFD’s that have webbing belts that go around your chest. I use an Obrien flex v-back. I put an additional webbing belt around the upper one (threading it through the same track) that has a harness hook attached. Play with the tension so that the belt keeps the harness hook oriented correctly (not sagging) but not too tight. It’s a coast-guard approved pfd that also provides impact resistance around your whole chest except a small vertical area directly in the back.

I did a cheap (and handy) waist harness

Oversized weight lifting belt would work. Just let it get up around your rips instead of your hips.
