Wondering if anyone has ridden the Evolution 205 and can compare it to the Code (1300s / 1075r) or Axis (1201 / 1250) for light-wind downwind performance. I am curious about speed, carving, and ease of use.
Also curious how the Evolution 205 and 235 work on a Katana mast. Thx!
spent a lot of time down winding on both 205 and 1300s in minuscule bay runs, ridden with every fuse length but prefer the XS short fuse on both, 14.5 ab for uni and chopped 135r for code. uni feels a little bigger but surfs better and feels more smooth through the water, code is slightly more intuitive / user friendly but i feel like you can foil slower on it and some guys have said it’s a little more stable but they’re both big stable foils. bother are killer foils, for micro conditions - light wind bay runs, i use code more. wouldn’t jump ship from one to the other but if you’re making a change they’re comparable. xs fuse and tiny tail wakes them up and makes them super surfy in light wind bay runs, give’s them a little extra speed
