I’m wondering when the mast and foil products are going to finally be released. This is a REALLY long time to be teasing a product.

And bad timing with the tariffs!

We should start a pool to guess the price of the AMP board

Closest price wins a free board? I’m in.

My thoughts are I wish they’d stop sinking time/money into the efoils (last thing we need is more of them in the lineups) and get those foils on the market so the regular folk can see if they are magic or if it’s just Bennetts doing Bennetts things

Yup…just pay shipping, processing, handling and the tariff. You’ll also need to claim the full amount as income on your taxes. But other than those minor expenses, completely free!

I’m thinking 9K retail

But that’s where the money is!

Is this still a thing?

I’ll pay what ever for this thing

I thought you were paying whatever it cost for the lift x in your last podcast though?!

Wait a second. Premiers in 35 hours? I take back my heart. Why are you teasing me like that?

I give back my heart for your reply. I still don’t like the flite lab tease before it’s ready for release :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s very true!

But that’s a bit of a pity for the foiling industry and probably an indicator of why most of our feeds our now filled with “game changing” efoil clips

I love a foiling clip (or even better watching someone else whilst in the water) that’s aspirational rather than lazy and easy

I wonder if Code Foils is a outlier in the fact that they seem to have made head roads into the industry based solely around foils?

No never said that
Love the innovation and all of it.
Saturday is the launch

I do it all on a foil.
My Foildrive foil assist sessions are anything but lazy and easy!
Foil assist and Efoil etiquette is probably a different topic. And agree with you there.
I disagree with the laziness.
Uncrowded untouched waves that are
un-Paddleable have some epic Potencial with things like this.
Efoil is a very different product vs the “assist” segment

I should state I learnt on a FDA+ and am thankful I had that headstart. I also took that “assist” riding to a pretty decent level in the surf it was a pure chip in device and then it wasn’t used again until the next wave (it was early days but in hindsight I too was probably too close to the lineup). I was one of those guys that waist mounted the box to get the weight off the board. Once I had built up a decent “foiling skillset” I sold it and moved onto the other foiling disciplines and basically every session since has been fruitful and rewarding.

But it doesn’t take much digging to see the vast majority of the users are looking for shortcuts that make it easier/lazier. Barely anyone even paddles to get on waves anymore with the majority relying on HP motors/batterys/trench boards the list goes on which turns it into a fingerblast and go via elbows and knees situation.

Everyone claims to be the rider that’s on untouched waves far away from the lineup not annoying anyone but when it takes one trip down to our beaches these days to see a dozen buzzing around without the semblance of a paddle or pump and a huge over reliance on the trigger finger, hense for most “assist = efoil”

But agreed this wasn’t strictly my point on Flitelab (other than I want to see their foils!) but seeing as you opened up the discussion, sure they have a purpose but I stand by they should not be within earshot of lineups brand irrelevant and I’d like to see that money and R&D directed towards the many other wonderful aspects of foiling we have on offer

Very bummed they’re trying to wait and launch everything at once. Seems really self defeating. I could use a new prone board - no need to wait on every other product in the lineup! Silly.

My hot take… (I think I have said this before) I was watching old clips of Bennetts on the chopped fone eagle that he was riding… seems way more radical than the new edits. :grimacing::person_shrugging:t4:

Ahh I miss that MB era where you could almost judge what gear from various brands was leading the way at the time by what he was riding.

Are there actually any rippers left that aren’t affiliated with a brand/shop/marketing in some way or the other?

this is quite ironic  tease of a tease. marking this thread as promotional for such blatant manipulation!

I reckon AB played the long game truly well here. Look at all his day job stuff, very tuned in to the process.

My take
a) 95% of people posting on Instagram who are trying to induce you to yolo purchase something,
b) 4% are pushing their own agende so that they can become a).
c) 1% keeping things weird

Very little genuine froth. True froth is in the whatsapp groups

Im truly frothy!
Wanted to launch earlier but this is the set date!
I’m just genuinely excited as this is a passion project on top of my other full time jobs to keep the froth alive
Thanks for the support like always! Yewwwww
