FLITELab* what are your thoughts

The thing missing in all these reviews/footage is footage of average downwind conditions. Pretty much the one use case that is super appealing to me. I’m sure someone has been out there testing this besides Adam…post the footy!!

Hard to get footage of that, but I feel confident it can be done given the amount of thrust the jet provides. Not sure what the optimal board size is though. I guess it depends on weight and local conditions.

Good to know. I’ve been wondering about getting on plane from a knee start with the 4’6

Up to how many batteries can you fit in the unit: 2 or 3

Two batteries. I’m not sure if you can ride it with just one. Honestly it would be nice weight wise to have less battery b/c it lasted longer than I needed it for. Not sure if it could produce enough thrust with just one battery though. I think to use just one battery you would need some sort of blank to keep the battery in place.

There is a blank. if you use one batterie its called a AMPCell spacer. do it fills the cavity and you have less weight. Less volts and less amp.

How’s the hype going after a couple of weeks? I wanna hear some testimonials dammit!

Ngl I was most excited about the actual foils so I’m kinda bumbed that we have to wait :face_without_mouth:

I’ve heard stock is very limited, getting a complete kit together is difficult for the retailers.

There was a delay in the Second container to get everything together as we all have mixed sized orderes! I ordered as many as I could. They all land Sunday at my shop here in puerto rico. 4 units left in stock. S boards. All M are sold out.

I saw 2 reviews staying it’s heavy, affecting the pump

Every pump cycle you need to lift the weight of the board and foil, add a battery and motor to the equation and it will definitely make pumping harder. Will be interesting to see how the Duotone offering stacks up with the battery weight removed from the board.

I’ve been using a DIY backpack, and the motor has more weight than is desirable, feels much closer to a foil drive than to a normal setup with the motor weight and pod dips (thread here):

Maybe with a substantially more ergonomic setup like the Duotone it might be a breakthrough, but I now have first hand doubts

I Foil Drive. Love the design but don’t see a compelling use case for the Amp Jet. But I really can’t wait for the Amp (assist) Mast. Finally some competition which will spark more innovation. I guess a jet on the mast is just too much to ask :man_shrugging:

Hello,
Do we have any update on the Flux foil range ?
No leaks, no review, no news ?

talk to your local dealer and setup a demo and go see the gear in person

oh right D2C is way better. :joy::joy::joy::joy:

There has already been plenty of videos, and comments on it in different threads

Here is frothy Mr. Bennetts on it. We got to test them and had some thoughts when we rode it. It’s there in the mix of shit talk!

I tried it. It has more glide than the silk. The pump has a noticeably better low end. But the pump efficiency felt mushy and wasn’t very efficient. It felt a bit like the mid sized spitfires which have decent low end but aren’t efficient to pump. The turning is alright, to me the kujira 2 and silks all turn basically every good. I would imagine the flux because it has more glide probably is slightly more locked in than the silk. Maybe you can think of it like a cross between the silk and the code S.

What sizes are you comparing?
