Wouldn’t that kill new users from buying anything? Since the forum restricts private messaging from new users, if they can’t comment then they can’t buy. I definitely would have lost sales over the proposed new rule.
I don’t think shutting down communication options is wise.
Would also eliminate any opportunity to call out scammers.
Rather (or also) setup or improve the auto categorise feature so you can filter out for sale stuff as it’s valuable but noisy if not in the US
Lol, this also only got sent because in his thread Bonifacio said he had a buyer lined up, I reached out to the person who was UNABLE to buy his item. Just saw that he messaged me to remove (I’m not on this forum that often) which I will do now. My friend I recommend you relax a little maybe go enjoy a day on the river! It’s just not that deep.
I like seeing questions on FS threads like “what are you switching to” and getting a little more feedback on last year’s gear without the words “game changer”
Can you turn off the AI Bot? It seems like it hurts more than helps. At the very least change the setting from:
“This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.”
To something more honest like:
“This post was flagged by our AI Bot and is hidden.”
It seems like it flags and mutes real people and new users more than anything else.
We can’t turn it off. You don’t see the amount of posts that are flagged and never show up. 95% is spam or fraudulent stuff. I’ll play with the settings. But I’d rather be a bit conservative than have folks get scammed…
