Kalama Gator long performance board

I want to order a Kalama Gator long performance downwind board but I am a little concerned about previous Kalama board types having foil tracks that were too far back for some. I have the axis foil setup and want to see if anyone has any experience with the model and foil positioning on the board.

Gabby is on kalama with axis foil. From the IG video it looks like towards the front of the box but I would think she is using some ultra HA prototype foil. Maybe you can msg kalama and I’m sure they have try it with axis foil.

Most Axis crew on Maui using the fireball wings are around the 3inch mark in the boxes. So just forward of centre and plenty of room to move forward but not needed as that’s the sweet spot in relation to the fulcrum point of the Gator. Very similar position for the new prototype wings

Excellent news. Appreciate this update

I have the AP gator and generally ride super far forward on everything, it’s a running joke between Mike and I, and I’m in the middle of the boxes on the 8:0.

I pulled the trigger on the 8’10”, and I can’t wait to figure it out.

I’m interested to hear back, weight , paddle ups etc

How is it going with the board? Do you know the weight of the 8.10 LP?

So I got the board and tried it out, it was surprisingly stable. I apologize, but I had a major change in my job which has forced me to limit water time….a real bummer.

If you decide to sell the 8’10” gator, I’m interested. Don’t want to pay full boat, but I sure would love to have one.
