Koa Kai Triple Crown Paddle Races. M2O dot vision link inside

Is there any live coverage of paddle imua? Any instagram accounts I should be watching for stories at least?

Btw those results aren’t correct at the moment. Kane got first. They’re close though. Verified by instagram accounts and Kane himself on a WhatsApp thread.

From Kane (same chat Hdip references) - the official finish was on the water, but the results posted are from the beach. Finn was one board length behind Kane at the finish.

Looking forward to seeing some of the videos. Please post what you can find.

They’re just filming the Tardrew brothers who are filming and commentating a bit as riders go by.

All you hear is SUP DW is the pinnacle of the sport. SUP DW is the hardest and best aspect of the sport. On and on and on.

The main SUP DW races are going on this weekend. ZERO! coverage of the events.
This is why DW is dumb. (I really just want content so I don’t have to scrub the internet just to find out about what’s going on at the races) Stupid US customs not letting Josh Ku into the country really messed up the recap video’s I was hoping for too.

Ok I watched the @whoedo livestream. Kane, Finn and Edo fighting at the end. Edo in the lead for the most part it appears. Kane went down in the last mile or so. Andrew on the inside line catching up. Finn went down early in the entrance to harbor which allowed Andrew to overtake him.

If you watch the livestream take some Dramamine first. :grinning:

Does nobody own a drone? It can’t be this hard can it?!?!

Ugh. The triple crown scoring isn’t just cumulative times. It’s Paddle imua time x 1, M2M time x 2, M2O time x 3

Intresting

So assuming imua was much of a dead heat, and worth much less, then there is only a 6 minute advantage between first and 10th from M2M, and that 6minutes only worth 4min in M2O money.

4min probably means unlikely to have an upset to reorder the ranking, and so Edo or Finn have a nice buffer and could ride pretty conservatively to remain top 2

Last year with much less competitive field the spread was not much more than 4min, so will be tough for any big come backs from those behind on time

tbh I don’t mind this, means the final race, and the hardest race, does allow for a meaningful comeback for someone who has paced themselves

Link that works.

Edo’s tracker is on his boat. Which is explicitly against the rules this year. DQ’d? They wouldn’t dare would they?

Edo, Finn, Andrew, Kane.

Edo and Andrew’s trackers were on boats.
