KT Nomad 830 pump vs. Atlas 960 pump

Anyone have experience on both Nomad 830 and Atlas 960 that can share how the 830 pumps?

I have a 960 so I’m curious to hear how the 830 pumps in terms of what I know.

I have both and for me the difference is too small to sacrify the speed and carving of the 830. It is not that the 830 is fast (I come from 825 Mikes Lab…) but the 960 is just slow.

I used the 960 with the big Atlas stab which is too big but also with the 190 Nomad. I need a 170 or 155 though.

These foils are extremely easy

I notice a fair difference between them. It may be the extra glide, not just the pump, but I find the 960 easier to link swell. Having said that, I’m not a good foiler, so take it with a grain of salt

The 830 turns a lot better and is more comfortable in messy conditions. I generally use the Nomad 155 tail with both.

I’ve been using these two a lot with the 155. i weigh 100kg and in the small prone conditions with the winter wetsuit on I’ve been preferring the ease of pumping the 960 to link waves. powered up in dw, wind, parawing 830 all day.. if you are lighter id say the 830 would be fine tho!

I got my 830 and can definitely say it’s a lot harder to pump than the Atlas 960.

I can do 1 minute in flat water on the 960 but the best I managed with the 830 was 28 seconds.
