Hi All,
Somewhat new to the forum here. I live in RI and prone a decent amount in the summer. I have a family “Beach Week” this year at Litchfield Beach, SC. I have been there a couple times before, but have never foiled there. Some days it looks do-able… Was curious if anyone down in this area prone foils this time of year? Is it even possible at this beach? Waves will probably be tiny, but maybe some locals know some spots?
Thanks in advance!!!
Sven
I haven’t foiled in Litchfield, but have surfed a fair amount on Pawleys (15 mins south) and have been to Huntington State Park Beach a few times (15 mins north). Both are definitely foilable. I’d expect Litchfield is pretty similar, as friends of mine have surfed there before. On Pawley’s, I’d recommend either a few block north of the pier (which will be mobbed) or go to the far south end of the island near the groins. HSPB seemed like you could just walk right out front. Not that crowded due to lack surrounding homes. If you have kids, the little “castle” at HSPB is fun, and Brookgreen Gardens are really incredible too as a side thing to do.
