Heading to stay in Mission beach for a few days this weekend or a trip w/ extended family. Not a surf trip by any means, but we’re staying right on the beach so I’m considering bringing my foil setup. Any locals on here have an insight as to whether it would be worth the hassle of flying my gear out there? Don’t want to piss anybody off by foiling in the wrong spot and won’t bother bringing the gear at all if I can’t foil somewhere walking distance from where we’re staying.

Its hit or miss this time of year at Mission Beach. Most of the the shallow to deep water sandbars have filled in the last few months. If it happens to be a combination of high tide and windswell in the water you will find a spot. The water is warm, I say bring your gear!
