Loyal to the Lift Foil

I found the opposite to be true. Find the 150 to be such a user friendly, predictable foil. I probably ride it more than should, in that I’ll still use it in chest high waves, as I love the pump on it( I weigh about 170)
I found my 120 to be a touch unpredictable. Recently became aware of some movement in the socket where the wing joins the mast. I put a layer of aluminium tape inside the front wing socket and it improved. A lot. Felt a similar level of improvement as when I switched from a classic mast to an M2 almost.
If the waves are suitable, love the 90HA for prone. That wing is awesome.

I had been riding Lift since the early days and they were consistently making the wings that were really at the cutting edge of performance for a long time for prone, downwind, having proper small foils for tow foiling as Nick is a great rider and did these disciplines. With the exception of we had epic stiff masts when it was the time of Mhl/lift days and they were made in Puerto Rico and it’s been until now with the m6 mast that we had to deal with a major weakpoint of masts that weren’t up to the stiffness of one’s that were ten years older, but that was the same with almost all company’s masts and most weren’t even around in the days of custom kite foil masts and early racing. So more of an industry going backwards for a while just to now come back. To the posters point the m6 30” mast is really great and will make all the current wings a lot better in my opinion. A lot of the creative energy and time got sucked up into the efoil side of the company unfortunately in the last many years and although they are cool the aren’t what I ride or could afford to ride if I wanted. It just is a different focus that takes up time. So it was at the expense of developing with all the energy foils that I would ride. Also some of the influences that I saw as key in pressuring the development of the right gear are no longer there. I decided to leave lift after 10 years of riding them since my friends that have a focus on the disciplines that I do and are putting their full energy into making that experience of riding and surfing better through foils and boards. I want to support my friends at their new endeavor at Hydrocraft so that’s part and the other part is when I got to test the first prototypes it was very clear that there was no comparison in how well they surfed. Stoked for the future of foils and where it’s headed and appreciative of how lift really paved the way for so long to get the industry here to this next step, I wish them the best and that they can get the resources to develop both efoils and normal foils with the same energy in the future.

I’ve actually just moved to Lift. Looking for suggestions on the next wing to get. I started with the F130x initially thought of getting a F110x next but not sure. Currently running either carve 26 or glide 26 tail. Also have an extension. Mostly winging, 18-25mph. Was also considering a larger front wing next, but I can get the 130 going in about 14mph, so don’t see the value. Open to any suggestions…

Been loyal for 10yrs but today I decided to say FUCK LIFT. Ordered a new 120HA late June-back ordered. Crickets from Lift even with rep calling. Finally got it yesterday after having to spend an extra $250 to get it shipped to Cabarete-taxes, etc.
Guess what? I won’t fit on my mast, my other wings fit fine. 30min of sanding and still won’t fit.

Moving on…

That Florence 110x is one of my all time favorite foils. 1/2 price deals all over the lift website right now too. Crazy.

What type of foiling do/did you use the 110x for? I’m using the 130x winging and like it a lot, was curious how the 110x would be for windier days…I’m 80kg

Those 50% off deals are kinda insane… was looking at a bundle to get an m6 mast, 110x, tail and pretty much any type of board for 2200-2500$ or less. Could sell the board cheaply and the deal on the remaining parts is great, for cost of m6 mast, you get the mast and a full foil set. But also makes me a bit worried if it’s a going out of biz sale.

I was doing downwind upwind with a wing when I was riding that foil. Its low end plus longboard vibes and unreal ability to link trash swell sections was one of the best experiences I’ve had with those small HA foils. Hard for me to not justify grabbing one myself, seems like it would be great to have in the pocket for sessions here and there. VS the 130X at 85kg I couldn’t imagine ever keeping the 130X. I think you can see that if you read/compare the reviews I did on them.

I think we’re all wondering about the fate of the foil industry and how many companies will hold on. Lift was pretty open about it in this thread but sound optimistic for 2026:

The Lift deals are crazy right now. Had a full setup in my cart a few times, before coming to my senses. Ended up ordering the 110F, but prior to seeing your post. Glad I did, and stoked to try it !

Does anyone know of any updates on the bigger Florance foils?
I’ve been to a few low/no wind downwind races and the lift gear can’t compete with Code/Axis/Armstrong in those conditions with 13+ AR big wings. I’m hanging out for the release of these

According to Lift they won’t tell you when it’s released then it’ll be back ordered for 5 months.

 Sounds about right.

I asked my local shop if they had an ETA. They basically said they can’t release that info.

Has anyone repaired the cracks on an x2 mast base plate? Mine is at least 2 years old and starting to show some hairline cracks at the front of the plate and mast transition. Haven’t tried yet, but thinking lift won’t be willing to help with a replacement.

Yes, mine started cracking on one side and near the front. Used unidirectional carbon across the crack, think it was three layers. Held it down while curing by taping one of those inflated packaging bags over it.

Still works :+1:

Looks like Lift is dropping all their new 2026 gear in April! They posted a sneak peek on their Instagram Story. Not just efoils this go around! Looked like a full lineup of new wings, too.
