First off I love my LIFT foils but I am wondering what’s next. Winging in waves is my passion and I’ve been riding the 150 V2 Surf and 150 HA with 3.5-6m wings and I’m a solid intermediate. I feel like there is a need for a size between 120 and 150. Am I missing something? I feel like the 120 is too fast in the surf and won’t glide as far without getting back on the wing sooner? Seems like about 850 cm2 is the magic size.
Thoughts?
I too have been waiting for this in-betweener. Let’s revisit this topic in about a week. I have a feeling you might be pleasantly surprised!
Are you telling us there’s a chance for the elusive 135 Surf V3?
I hate to break this to y’all but lift doesn’t develop foils…ill eat my hat if they’re not devoting 100% of their development energy to a foil drive competitor. In fact if they are working on wings right now they are making a mistake…
^^ 100% shitposting I have no idea what lift is doing!
Sure looks like Brady Hurley is riding something that is different to the old stuff. His strapped airs are landing way smoother than I remember Lift riding.
Exciting summer ahead
They’ve got a 130!
I wonder how the anti foil surfers will struggle with the revelation that the best surfer in the world foils
RIP my last paycheck
In the video JJF is talking about how there’s no waves in the summer. They also pitch this as a downwind wing and kind of bash prone foiling.
Oh thats lame
Actually I just watched the video, there was definitely no bashing of prone foiling
I didn’t think they were bashing prone foiling. Seems like they just choose their activity based off of the conditions of the day. Which is what makes foiling amazing, there’s something to do in all conditions! I for one and very excited to downwind the 130. Already have mine on order!
I was really hoping for a new mid aspect winging/surf model.
Seems that one is coming according the last Zane Westwood podcast
I’d agree with @Kezia
All the focus seems to be on 10+ AR wings thses days. Which is a pity as i think the mid aspects (from all companies) have a lot more potential to improve. Like in surfing where for years the focus was only on the thrusters for the pros when most Joes actually needed performance fishes.
And i was really hoping for a video of someone eating a hat…
Yep, Lift is working on them…
That seems to be what Omen is trying to do…I hear part of their operations on the foil side, and one of the business partners, are in Lyle, so you might go check them out
