New KT foils - who has some info

Did Jim/Kyle put together an adaptor for classic Cedrus?

Yeah on Cedrus instagram I saw him post pictures of it and sending them to the foil shop to test out.

Oh wait, that is for Evolution, I doubt they make an old mast adapter

The KT adapter will be available for both the classic and evolution mast. Once the fit is confirmed the website will be updated to reflect the availability.

100% convinced too. Foiling as well as all those other boardsports calm our minds, kind of self therapy. In hindsight it explains so much of all my mate’s characters and out of the box behaviours.

:joy: awesome! :clap:t4:

Is there anymore word on when their going to hit or has anyone got one of the foils? I"ve heard rumor there having issues with the alumin mast and something with shipping them to usa… Thoughts

I feel the hype…evaporating…now this thing is dropping in the depths of winter…

If I was managing a foil brand I’d be working hard to pump out some stop notch innovative DW gear to try to steal that thunder.

Not since uni released the vyper has there been this much undelivered hype in foiling!

They said it quite a while ago that the alu masts are coming a little bit later. Check out Watersports zone’s video above.

according to the podcast the same was true of the pp :grimacing:

don’t envy people putting physical products out there, no edits to msitakes

Don’t forget AMP jet foil assist. Tease it!
But yeah we all wanna know more about the new Enduros, KTs, and Uni EvosšŸ¤™

KT puts out really good stuff, but have mercy- it’s essentially a ma n pop shop of passionate watermen trying to put out a first run of really good, foils. Lots of moving parts- factors outside someone’s control developing something from scratch.

Immediate gratification does not equate a quality product, definitely not long term satisfaction. Mostly the opposite.

I’m as much a junky as the next, but would prefer to wait for something done right than satisfy my immediate urge- only to have the hype evaporate after having spent the ca$h.

I assume they are outsourcing the manufacturing of their foils?

What was the logic do make their first batch of foils with a non unibody design. Looks like they are not targeting existing unibody users and rather targeting the mass market. I really like what code did which was make a compromise in the form of making it more expensive but cater to only a niche part of the market, dw enthusiasts. Instead kt seems like they wanna challenge Armstrong and axis in the form of cheaper, easier to transport foils, but with an arguable unnecessary join at the front wing to the aluminum fuse. Which makes better sense maybe from a marketing perspective. It seems like they are not making a product they want to ride themselves rather, they want to make a business.

Nah man, unibody is out. Not because of assembly issues but because of stiffness. Aluminum is just a better fuse material, stiffer, and works with a carbon mast better than a carbon fuse. If done correctly the fuse wing connection is 0 flex and you have a stiffer material for a better connection. I’ve cracked every unibody setup I’ve ever ridden.

I’m honestly bummed that KT didn’t just make the wings compatible with Axis fuses. Based on some teaser pics it looks like they used axis for some prototyping. Could have started with just wings and made things a lot easier for a small operation dipping their toe in foils. And man, what a treat for axis riders to finally have some good wings

But Armstrong is definitely the worst of both worlds. That connection design SUCKS!

Code has made me a unibody fanboy. Chunky monkey at the mast connection. Super stiff. My theory on why they feel so drag free, is in part, the unibody connection of front wing.

Man, you just won’t let that one bad experience you had years ago go, you never miss an opportunity for a dig. Have you tried the new Armie connection?

Armie shipped me a garbage product and made me pay $350 to ship it back to hong Kong to get my money back. I’ll stop bitching about it as soon as they give me that $350 back!

Yeah I remember your story and I know it was the old connection you were disappointed with, yet you comment all the time on the Armie connection which is no longer the same. I understand your frustration with your personal experience with their customer service(prior to US distribution I’m assuming) but the digs are lame and kinda dishonest.
