I was really wanting a 78 or 80cm, but couldn’t be happier with the 75 katana. The 75 katana is over 2cm longer than my “75” takuma carbon mast. The katana 750 actually measures 76cm. Also, after the summer we had here in central Florida, I wouldn’t be able to get away with a longer mast as a daily driver. We had many days of deep troughs and shallow takeoffs on the bar

According to the one rider who has ridden Katana, Progression, and Evolution Surf… Evolution surf is stiffer than Progression and has better glide than Katana. It is also lighter than both, but a lot more expensive… sorry about that! I have another Surf in Australia with a Uni team rider and he likes it but again can’t post given contractual obligations. There is one in Hawaii as well hung up with USPS so hope more feedback soon. Just sharing the limited data I have, because people have asked. I will get both on the Cedrus test rig soon, and hope to find more testers open to sharing the feedback publicly.

Looks cool, the straight LE is interesting, pushes the foil further forward. Keeping all the taper at the top is interesting too as it allows the bottom to be straighter and so less chord in the critical “riding” area.
I feel like this is the type of attention to detail that @Erik now known for - ergonomic, uncompromising, attention to detail based on your own very specific criteria. Stoked to see it!
Only thing stopping me would be my 830mm Katana already I feel could be longer for winging, but is definitely not an issue for surf. I haven’t loved the Katana for prone, so I’m super curious about this and hope to try one soon. May have to deal with it on the wing then 
Hi, could you please share the weight of the Progresson 800 mast and the Katana 830 mast? I read above that the Standard Unifoil 75cm mast weighs 1.7kg and the Katana 75cm weighs 2.13kg.

Got the answer from the Unifoil team. Progression 800 is 2.05kg; Katana 830 is 2.2kg.
