I love kick pads! To keep the tail off the ground and provide cushion when I set the board down upside down

Yelling “Party Wave” when you pumped into the wave right in front of a someone’s wicked cutback.

Freestyle foiling.

To me, it look like a circus thing. Spinning and flipping while juggling with sharp things.
Skilled riders for sure but for me, it fall in the same category than scooter(ing?) in a skatepark or olympic snowboarding.

Windsurfers…

WTF, I used to windsurf and have nothing against that sport and do not find it silly, but so many of the windsurfers I run into seem to be one or more of the following:

Oblivious - to what is around them, on the water and off

Entitled - to their line, on the water and off

Don’t care - about anyone else, on the water and at least while carrying or setting up gear on land

…there are lots of nice people who windsurf out there, but based on the behavior I see, I can only conclude the above

F-One titan 1 connection! How many foils are at the bottom of the ocean :person_shrugging:??

I think its because all the better alternatives to windsurfing have already filtered away all the people you’d get along with and all we’re left with are the oddest grumpiest most stubborn bunch of them who will take windsurfing to their grave

Not cheap, but Wera make stainless steel Torx L keys that fit well and won’t corrode at the rate of the cheap “supplied” tools.

Been using the same one that came with my Omen kit for 2 years now. Still looks the same as the other one I have that I’ve never used.

  1. Leading edge wings. Yeah I’m still riding them even though I swore off ever riding one again after buying a PW.
  2. PWs that don’t have the wind range of my leading edge wings forcing me to keep having to pump them up & take them through the shorebreak.
  3. Gear reviews that get me excited only to find the poster is 65kgs - eat some donuts guys

Wera also makes great stainless longer handle Hex wrenches. Been using them out in the water for a year. Their tolearances are so tight I don’t even stress hard about dropping them. Was like $5 each. Way better than junk wingnuts that don’t hold their position for $60 (adding those to 101)

I know this was said already, but I’m just so disgusted with the state of foiling podcasts. Just shameless brand riding at this point. Generic has even been skating that line a little too close lately. My favorite episodes from them are when they don’t interview anyone. Can someome with a non-industry job just gift us with some weekly parking lot banter?

That rigidly fixed, slight chimpanzee posture that certain FD riders adopt for their entire battery. Not entirely sure how they change direction with it, but certainly never involves a carve.
