Tails compatibility with Unifoil

I’d like to know what non-Unifoil tails are compatible with Uni fuses.

Motivation behind this question is that the AfterBurner tails seem to always be sold out, or prohibitively expensive to be shipped outside of a very US centric market.

I feel like the red G10 tails maybe hold back the abilities of my foils, (mostly the P125), and a bit of cross compatibility information would open the door to more experimenting and ultimately finding out what’s best.

I’m not adverse to a bit of DIY, 3d print, or putty to fill potential gaps or adjust shimming.

There’s a 30mm screw spacing between the countersunk M6 screw holes, which has been used by a few brands.

Production KT tails work if you shim accordingly (they are set as +2 degrees) and place a bit of putty. Nomad 155 is awesome

From what I’ve read the KT tails fit with some shimming.

That would infer that the following ones are potentially compatible (at least in terms of screw spacing)

@CrispFoils makes his for Unifoil fuses. Tested and recommended.

Crisp also made me a couple of shim adaptors. I have one for AFS and one for KT. They work well.

well, I was excited about the latest Gong tail wings being compatible, ordered a Fluid H V3 which got stuck in the customs during the festive season, and finally arrived. Sure they bolt just fine, …. except that the profile ends up upside down…

Unifoil stabs are mounted on the fuse “seafloor side”, whereas Gong ones are mounted “board side”. (facepalm) Rookie mistake.

That’s a bummer, cause it’s a nice bit of kit. I can possibly flip it over, do some grinding, countersinking holes, etc… but definitely not straightforward.
