What to do when there is no waves?

Hey all,

I’m on vacation and the forecast is looking pretty flat for the next week.

Since I have all the time in the world, I’d still love to get in the water and keep foiling.

There are no docks around for me to practice dock starts, and the beach is very shallow (knee-high) for a long distance before it gets deeper, so beach starts seem tricky — if I get on the foil, I’ll likely hit the sand right away.

I could potentially rent a jet ski for two or three mornings, even if it blows the budget, to try some tow-in. But is there really any point if there are no waves?

I’m open to any ideas or inspiration that could help me get in the water!

EDIT: no wind neither

Any wind? Winging would be a good choice if there was wind.

Where is the vaca?

Get a foldable ladder and planks and make a portable ponton/dock

I’m kind of the similar situation @NSM

Wind and waves dropped off too
I am in Colombia
The home made dock is a good idea but on trip we generally don’t have all our tools

Guadeloupe

I’d be fishing…
