What wingspan is too much for prone?

Title says it all, in your opinion and experience, what wingspan starts to be too much? Most of the surf foils i see hover around an 80cm-90cm wingspan, maybe a bit more.

What would be the most pumpable wing while being comfortable to surf?

EDIT: Some videos show slower surfing style with wings of up to 130cm wingspan without much issue

Code 980S is the best.

Very vague question. I’m 6’3” @ 200lbs… with a 8 second period for me…

Ankle-shin: axis 1150

Knee-thigh: uni 200p (short fuse)

Thigh-waist: uni 170p (med fuse)

Waist-shoulder: p140 (med fuse)

Shoulder above: regular shortboard

*If I could only have one of those wings, p170 or similar size

Less than 1m so that you can use Nolimitz mast

Depends on your skill. James Casey can rip on a 1250r and 1540s. Me personally, im feeling very comfortable pumping and carving on the 1300s. But when I first started with code 980 was a great sweet spot. Now 980 is the smallest wing I’ll ride in prone since anything smaller will be hard for me to pump at 100kg

80 cm for pumping conditions on small modern foils - like small HAs - for highly experienced foilers who can pump for days on bigger foils - if your asking thsts probably not you. For me that’s the north 680 SF

95cm as big as I’d ever go for a beginner ish prone foil in the the 1100-1200 sq cm range.

90 is my sweet spot for every day conditions on my north SF 930. I’m not pumping for days but I can do doubles and triples pumping into the wind if I have to and all day downwind runs with the wind behind me. Rips turns better than the bigger 95cm wings for sure but you loose some pump.
