Will be a new system in North?
As I would like to move from my phantasm system I consider North (yes, I also asked in another topic about Fone), and logiclly I wouldn’t like to buy it and 1 year after gets overdated.
Thanks!!

North have always said on their videos that they plan for their system to be back and forward compatible. So all fuses (alu and carbon) are compatible with all masts (uhm, carbon , alu) and all wings - forward and stab - fit on any type pf fuse.
they just released an integrated carbon mast for Foil Drive and I assume plan to capitalize on that investment so I really don’t see them changing their mast to fuse (geo-lock system) for a good while.
Just my own predictions… I don’t see it changing any time soon.
Yeah, i can imagine that they could do something similar as Sabfoil with the Blackbird line. Staying with the mast connection while introducing the monobloc.
Chipping in here… love my North set up. I’m 90kg and run the SF 680, 830 and 1080 with 85 and 95 UHM masts. Lovely foils at a reasonable price point.
I feel like this is a known issue from running the wrong length bolts. I know in some cases north supplied the wrong bolts and they ate the mast replacement, maybe user error in this case?
This shows a significant lack of construction knowledge…
The bolts were provided by North and used accordingly. The mast was replaced under warranty but same happened to the new mast. The metal block in the mast is a problem. It delaminates from the mast. When you tight the mast screws they pull the mast with the metal block into the fuse cavity. During the use the mast flexes in the fuse cavity causing additional pulling forces on the screws and the metal block.
