WTB: heavy duty travel bag for midlength ~ 6’5”x22”

Looking for an airline worthy travel bag for my KT Super K 92L. 6’6” long 22” wide. Need by mid February. Thank you, Adam

Ive got several LFSupply bags and def recommend. Add extra padding/foam for air travel.

I use the 7’ FCS 3 board bag for my 7’ board. Fits perfectly. I see they offer a 6’7” version.

I’ve been pretty happy with the Creatures one, seen here https://www.hyperride.co.nz/product/151716/creatures-of-leisure-fish-triple-dt20-cover-blk-silver

The 6’3 version was fine for my 6’4x22

Ive been through lots of bags and recommend something with wheels. Wheels obviously add weight but in my experience baggage handlers are more prone to dropping the bag if it’s harder to carry. I also travel with a large rolling duffle that I can pack up to an 85cm mast and wings in so that the board bag isn’t overpacked.

CI, polite, Ocean Earth, DB, Dakine all have some options although I can’t speak to all of them. Gongs bags are pretty decent for the price too and I got 3 years and a lot of trips out of my last one.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. @Seth.Anglin thanks for reminder on LarryFoiler, I had one for a DW board and the one I would need seems to be on sale! @Velocicraptor thanks for advice on wheels, makes sense. Unfortunately COL seem to be out of stock. I think it’s down to Larry Foiler and a wheeled bag from Ride Engine (Serve Surf Travel Coffin). Thanks again!

I too have been through many bags.

The LF bags are at the bottom of my list. They are like a wet noodle with zero structure.

Manera has proven to be the best bag with wheels IMO. But may lack sizing.

If you really want heavy duty, the Armored Coffin bag is bulletproof. But it doesn’t have wheels. I have a 6’6” version that I would sell for $300 shipped in the US. Its been around the world twice without a single ding to a board.

I am riding smaller boards now so I don’t need the size anymore.

Can’t speak to the non wheeled bags but steer clear of the wheeled LF bag.

I think it’s going to be the Manera 747 Wheels bag, 7’2"

Thanks for all the advice!

Can I ask why?

Sure: (1) familiarity with brand/brand quality, (2) has wheels but not on edge like RE which sounds good but seems tough in reality if parking a lot of gear, (3) proper sizing for my board - a few inches longer than needed, (4) price better than or equal to others.
