The low end on the Pure 1100HA was surprising.
I did not need much speed to take off and It picked up every bit of energy from the water.
Super long glides on nothing bumps. I wasn’t able to find the stall speed on that test session.
Up wind was really good, turning was ok I didn’t expect it to be great to begin with. I didn’t
have any issues with it either.
Waiting for some wind to take the Enduro 1300 for a spin.
I’ve been using the enduro 700 prone and wing, about 80kg in rather powerful waves. It’s a bit slower than an eagle 790/sk8 750, the pump is quite easy to fine tune, the tubercules filter out the choppy conditions, turning is really fast from rail to rail, very intuitive and user friendly. Paired with an uhm mast the setup feels very stiff, more than fone. Sweet spot for waves is knee to chest high for my weight and high period swells.
Tail wise I have been really enjoying the KD13R with it, the silk 132 produces way too much lift and drag I found. For the fuselage I tend to prefer the short fuselage which brings the front wing ~1cm closer to the mast which frees the roll even more, unless I am winging at higher speeds and seeking stability.

I have the 152 and 132 and rarely use the 152 with the silks (haven’t tried it with the Enduro7). Only time I use the 152 is when I need to squeeze all the low end I can out of the 1050, otherwise I use the 132 90% of the time. 132 feels like a lot less drag and much better turning than the 152. Again, this is with the Silks and I need to spend more time experimenting with tails on the Enduro7.
I was using the KDMaui 13" Marlin and the Race tail with Enduro 1300 (short fuse, short tail position). I just got the HA38 and I am very happy with it. Need more time back to back against the KD tails, but it feels good.
interesting take on the 132 - I prone and tow only, and have found that it’s the only tail that works with the silk 650, doesn’t have too much drag or lift.
I have all the silk/HAsilk stabs, KD 13R and marlin13/14, mako carve 140 and 150, and the only one that i find matches the characteristics (that I want) of the silk 650 is the 132.
The combo 650/132 is super well balanced at speed.
I’ll do some testing with the E700 when conditions allow, and report back.
I realized after getting the ha38 that it’s possibly too similar to the kd race tail, so might exchange for the 40. As for the 152, after hearing that afs riders are putting silk tails on the enduro and ha on the silks, and considering that the old 178 has always treated well, I figured 158 couldn’t possibly be too big. We will see I guess. My goal is boosting enduro low end and turning.
I have had a handful of sessions on the Enduro 1300 and 900. Had the 900 out this past week in decent hip-head point break surf. It carved better than I expected and feels like it has added traction through turbulent and white water even with some tips out. It is very fast and I never felt overfoiled. Compared to my daily Progression-140 it handles speed exceptionally well but has more of a delicate blade feel rather than a buttery carving feel I’m used to. It handles energy through turns but feels like lots of energy is lost while exiting a turn hard to explain but this feels very different from the p140 that seems to maintain energy through turns exceptionally well and function better near stall. The trade off is the Enduro has amazing glide on a bump and pump…This issue with turns is probably my lack of practice with the Enduro to fully unlock its energy management.
The 1300 is tons of fun for flat water pumping and shin-hip high waves. Very fast, surprisingly easy to turn and amazing to pump and glide. For such a big wing this one handles speed amazingly well. I haven’t used it yet for downwind but I think it will unlock our local bay runs for me at 88kgs. Have messed around with a couple tails on the Enduro p13.5, and HA38… have yet to try these with wingfoil and I have a 700E to ride in some bigger faster swell. Will share more
The video we’ve all be waiting for. Both look awesome. My takeaway was KT to flatter progression and AFS for outright performance. One variable is from the specs AFS have a better mast, which must influence the top end.
