I also spend 70% of my time on the 950, with the rest on the 750 and 1150. They ride very intuitively between sizes and I find them much more even in weight distribution vs the v1, which was more front footed. The 750 is easily my favorite though (biased due to the conditions that necessitate the 750). It makes downwind runs with the parawing or wing so much fun. These foils all bridge the gap between the Silk v1 (wanted more speed and pump) and the Enduro (wanted more lively roll). Perfect blend between them for me.
If anyone wants to trade your US 135 for my US 120, let me know. Finding I like the larger stabs (mostly using the UCarve 140).
I just looked and the 850 v1 has the same span as the 750 v2 so tbh I wouldnât be surprised if the v1 is smoother⌠Iâd love to try them both though donât get me wrong the v2 could replace my code 720s that I have for more parawing downwind stuff
On a side note, if you can demo the Evo HA 1000 or 750. You will be amaze by that foil. The Evo HA on sup foil was the most i ever linked waves on, on any foil i ever ridden. 6 for 1 was common, it just pumped so well.
I generally rode my 1050 Silk in waist high to well overhead conditions on sup foil and parawingâŚwould it be nice to get a V2 750 silk, sure but i just donât want to work out any more money when the 950Silk will do it too.
If you ever want more glide, try the Ucarve or Uglide with it - also works great! I use the Usurf if waves are breaking and I want more confidence turning my hardest but love the Uglide/Ucarve when I am winging or sup surfing in unbroken swell
If I had to have one tail for the v2 950 it would be the UC 140. Its fast, turns well, pumps well, and just does what I want it to. I have the US 120, Pure 145 and just got the UG41 (which I havenât tried yet, but expect to be more of a specialty tail than all arounder). US120 is more nimble and less tracky than the UC140, but sacrifices pump and stability. Pure 145 is a lot like the UC140, but sacrifices speed.
I didnât really notice difficulty pumping the 950 with the Usurf 135 but i donât have a U carve to test or ride and its plenty fast at almost 21 MPH, right under the Enduro 900. Iâll have to try to get my hands on a U Carve tailâŚbut what im really interested in is the Titanium fuselage.
