I don’t think axis original is using anything better than what’s being offered by the copycat, especially the one that has the logos on it exactly like the original. What happened here is that either axis switched suppliers and the old one isn’t happy and thus selling behind their backs. Or one supplier leaked on purpose the diagram to another supplier who is now making the copies without the logo. Happens quite frequently in china for any industry. The only problem is that if you’re gonna copy something, can it at least be better than axis. On the bright side you’re not suffer that much of a performance hit with fakes vs the real thing. They are not fake just did not pass quality control.
The risk you take buying one is that it could just be cosmetic like in the pic or it could be wrong shape, thickness, profile or something that effects performance.
I buy future type fins off Ali express and mostly just have to sand the base to fit properly but sometimes they are wrong angle or not symmetrical and totally useless but they only cost £20 a set no way I’d risk 400
