I’m taking a weeklong trip next week to the Gulf Shores. Have never been, but am bringing my prone foil board and parawing. Any local foilers on here to meet up with or anyone know spots to hit or avoid? I don’t see any foil shops nearby. Any info is much appreciated!
Good luck, hopefully there is wind because there is almost always ZERO swell there. I have kited around there before but breaking waves are very rare.

I’ve got some great days 25mph or so, yeah there aren’t waves really. Only caveat to Gulf Shores for windy things is the lifeguards throw up the double red flags when it’s great for wind sports. If that happens, head over to Pensacola, you can wing on the bay side if the gulf is a sloshfest, or launch just downwind of the pier or over in Fort Pickins.

If the forecast hold, it looks like good wind for Sat and Sun in the mid-upper teens out of the SW. I live in Pensacola and will go somewhere in the afternoons both days. There are a couple of foilers in Gulf Shores. Reach out to @rossi_schell and @tompecinka on IG for spots in Gulf Shores. Rossi is a DW beast.
Might try catching charter boat wakes as they leave/ come home through the inlet. Similar at Perdido inlet in P. Cola although I’m not sure you can access it by car.
