I suppose we all take note of reviews, but sometimes there are some details or subtext missing that would make them more transparent and useful. Let me know what you think.
Rider weight/height
Rider experience: rate your riding ability in years/ability/links/foam-blasts
Recent video: even better, link to a relevant clip
Region and Conditions: Knee high wind slop to overhead groundswell
Affiliations: paying retail / paying cost / selling the gear / flow-team
Ownership: purchase / demo / borrowed
Gear experience: broadness of your gear experience from only 1 brand to all of them
In terms of the specifics of a review, @Rad_Duke has probably the best examples of a reasonable review with categories etc:
Here’s mine:
Setup: H2 170, 83 katana, 13’’ tails, medium fuse
Tester: 75kg, advanced winger/prone, goals in all styles are surfing waves smoothly with great feeling carves

ART1099 Review:
Wow what a fun foil! After listening to the casey podcast I was interested in this foil for bumps/open ocean and even prone foiling tiny waves. Bought one and I’ve proned this wing a few times and winged it probably a dozen times in different conditions (including this morning).
Pump and glide: just fantastic. Glides on shin high bumps in the ocean. Pumping this wing is an amazing feeling, like cranking up gears on a roadbike and pushing hard faster and faster!
