I ride a cab800 with the alu mast. (16mm x 130mm i think)
thinking about upgrading to a used Cedrus(19mm x 120?), Cab carbon noodle mast, or something else to help loosen up the turning. do you feel like the cedrus was a glide killer?
People don’t seem to like the cab/dakine alu mast because of the long chord, saying it is slower in the turns - and I feel that - but it is efficient in a strait line. Part of me just thinks i gotta stay with the thinner profile till i find some better option instead of paying for a draggier 19mm.
Hey, I have not ridden the alu mast and I don’t know enough about mast to really help you on your choice other than a stiff mast like the Cedrus , is that you would have a more direct feel to your foil and more overall control. As far as the Cedrus thickness, it might be slightly slower than a thinner mast. I know which stabilizer you are using or if you shim but just changing the rear wing will make a big difference in the way the FW behaves as well as size of fuselage.
