I have enjoyed my sk8 950 for some years now, both winging and prone, but I am tempted to try something else.
What would people recommend as a new mid aspect setup with a newer design and a better mast-to-fuse connection?
Code X, Armstrong MAII, Flite Flux, Unifoil Aggression, etc etc. Plenty of good options, pick your poison 
And in anticipation of anyone turning this into an endless debate about mast-fuse connections - shhh.

Kinda depends on what you want to change from your sk8 950 right?
I still can’t find any MA I like the carving on as much as the AFS Silk which comes with, IMO, the best masts and customer service on the market.
I like the AFS and KT joints. M8 is my only real requirement.

Hey Wouzel, I can’t remember if you mentioned this before, but are you an ambassador, retailer, or otherwise sponsored by AFS? I appreciate your feedback and the “echo chamber” since I also ride AFS, Uni, and Code. I’m just curious how to frame your enthusiasm for Silks and other AFS products in this and other threads. Genuine question, no disrespect intended.

its a little different to the Skate. But I rode the Duotone crest for a prone surf last week and it’s a good surf foil.
Slower than the Sk8 but I liked that about it.

What do you want to gain and what are you willing to compromise on? We’re long past the point of foils being “better in every way”. If you go smaller and lower AR you’re going to loose SOMETHING in low end. Don’t trust hype about a foil doing more than the numbers say - certainly don’t sell your current daily and go whole hog into some new hotness with nothing but promises of magic low end in a smaller sexier package.

Has anyone tried the SK8 and the SS Glide 925 or 825 and can comment? I like the Glides a lot and am curious about how they compare.

Cut your stab. Shorten that wingspan to 30cm. It livens up the sk8. If youre looking for a difference
