Anyone have experience with the One Ocean Sports mast from Oz? Good price point and incredibly thin, but I’m sure that comes at the cost of stiffness.
Would love to hear feedback as it’s really never in the conversation.

Talk of it in this thread and a YouTube by the company on page 2.
12.2mm thin and a 102-108mm chord? If the layup and construction is top notch to maintain the stiffness that would be an absolutely phenomenal mast based on the dims. Matched with the Florence 110x would be an absolute slayer.
I can help a little but I do own ONE ocean sports so may be biased haha.
The 78cm mast even though its 12mm thick and 10cm cord is still crazy stiff, maybe the stiffest in Torsional flex on the market but hard to fully say as I have not tested everything but it is bloody stiff for the dimensions.
I use the 78 for everything, and I definitely feel the extra speed when DWíng at higher speeds as you just never really get that mast draggy feel.
We have also just finished and soon to be released a new 78cm mast to go along side the current 78cm the new mast is more designed for the real big wings and has a new foil section that works amazing at the slower speeds these big wings go at. Actually, the new 78 is thicker but is faster than the skinny 78 at slower speeds. So if you use small wings and like to go fast winging, DW or prone then the current 78SSS(super stiff skinny) mast is the bomb, if you fly big wings with long wing spans and want even more control then the 78SS (super stiff) will be the one.
New 78 will be out hopefully in a few weeks.
New 90cm is also not too far away.
Price is good as we sell direct so no shop margins plus I also have a real job to pay the bills haha.
We are only a small company so very low overheads which also helps, we try very hard to only use the very best carbons, and our factory(which is not in China) are very good with the high-end carbon work.
Masts also come with a custom Aussie made cover and Free freight world wide.
Happy to answer any questions I can as we are always happy to help where we can.
Yeah that would be perfect, the 78cm would feel unreal with the lift 110x
I should be able to tell you soon, I ordered one which I’ll pick up on Monday.
Need some wind too
Windguru is pretty white at the moment
Definitely report back on it! What foils are you going to use?
Lift 110 and 130.
This also might be the opportunity to get a « summer wing » with axis or code.
What are people’s thoughts on the adapter? It’s the same thing as the Axis → Lift adapter that Stringfellow and Foilparts sell, no?
The adaptor is from Stringy, it if going on a Axis fuselage it will fit without any adaptor and nice tight fit.
Any report ?
very interested in the 78SS, looking forward to it’s release
Any chance you will have an adapter for Uni wings? A skinny, slippery, super fast 900 would be awesome (950 even better) for winging…
The Uni fuse socket is smaller than the Axis mast insert, so it’s impossible to create a simple adapter that wrap around Axis to go into Unifoil fuse socket.
Uni is one of the smallest socket of the market, so it Uni mast could adapt to other brands.
Also, FYI, Uni announced 3 new masts for early 2024.

I haven’t tested it yet, but I conducted a static comparison with the AFS UHM 75, which is the most similar mast on the market in terms of dimensions (<13mm thickness and ~10cm chord). My findings show that the One is 27% stiffer in bending.
I am unable to test torsional stiffness with sufficient accuracy.
The mast weighs 1.942 kg, compared to the 1.5 kg announced by AFS.
Thanks for doing that! Sounds like an epic mast, I wish I could try it with AFS to actually compare side by side on the water!
don’t forget the AFS UHM 80 is much stiffer than the 75
We’re seeing a number of mast manufacturers tune 75 and 85 and 90 lengths for lowest drag at the expense of stiffness while making an 80 as stiff as possible maybe at the expense of drag
Thank you for that explanation, makes total sense. I saw Uni’s announcement, but 83cm is currently their longest. Really hoping they do a 95, but enjoying my 95 Katana in the mean time!
I’ll put the 80 AFS on my benchmark when I’ll have time and I’ll let you know the result.
For sure the 80 is much stiffer than the 75, but dimensions are not comparables with the One : thickness is 13.8mm for AFS and 12.2 for the One ; chord is 12cm for AFS and 10cm for the one.
About length, One 78 and AFS 75 have the same « wetted length », the additional 3 cm from the one being the fuse footprint.
