Lots of discussion on here about tuttle boxes, tuttle masts, converting your own mast to tuttle, etc. Many of you know I’ve made and installed a few tuttle boxes and converted a mast successfully. It took me quite a bit of digging to figure out all the varieties of Tuttle over the years, starting from the original specification published by Larry Tuttle and updated in 1993 (Waterat Sailing Equipment). Since that time there have been many subtle variations of tuttle for windsurfing fins, and then kitefoils and windsurf foils. And then for surf/SUP foiling the GoFoil set a bit of a standard. Most recently MikesLab and F4 have been making Tuttle products. Each are a little different, but the industry would benefit from an open standard designed specifically for foiling masts. I submit this drawing as proposed standard, and I’m pretty sure anything made to this specification will be compatible with all the tuttle foilboxes out there.

The technical stuff is beyond me but from what little I understand I’d love to see an adjustable tuttle become “standardised” so the mast and board manufacturers can get to work.
Seems like there’s a fair chunk of performance to be gained which could transform all our existing foils (yes at the cost of a mast and boards) but I’m here for it!
Thanks for your open source approach.
