Unifoil Evo or Aggression for Tow

Has anyone towed with both the smaller Evo wings and smaller Aggression wings? Im trying to decide which profile would be better on tow waves around chest to head high.

The smaller Aggressions should be ideal for towing since pumping isn’t a priority and they have much less span for better turning. I tow on a Evo 115 and it’s not ideal.

Curious to see how the Aggressions will be priced

Aggression definitely better for towing. As @bdavis said, no need to pump so the extra turn is well worth it. Can still pump out the back if needed on 105 or 115 AG. You’ll be able to stay in the pocket better than on the Evo.

Thanks for the info. What size days are you towing with the aggression 115?

Chest high to overhead. It’s overpowered very easily. I’m assuming you tow Point Loma so the 115 wouldn’t be ideal.

You might want to try Vyper 90 for towing. It’s actually a really good foil and not that far off from what I can tell of the Aggressions.

Thanks for the info. The 115 seems like the call.

Im a huge believer in the new foils. I went from the progression wings to the EVOs and it was the biggest game changer. From one good wing to something that felt 10 years ahead in technology.

There was a 85 tow wing being tested early in the year along with the Aggressions. Both looked production ready, but it’s been a long wait.

Perhaps we’ll get an 85Agrression in the new year instead.

The Evo115 has more lift (and glide) than the Progression125. The top speed of the latest is still higher than 115 which I would use predominantly where you need glide the most. For tow-in I would not chose the Evo personnally.

I agree with what has been said by everyone else except I haven’t tried the Aggressions yet. I did several days of towing in overhead to chest high with the Evo 115 and Progression 100. The only advantage of the Evo for me was letting go earlier out the back. The P 100 is an incredible foil for towing. Probably much cheaper if you can find one and you don’t have to wait for the Aggressions to ship. I’m excited for the 130 Aggression I ordered for prone, but keeping my P 100 to tow

The aggression 130 has the same span as the P100 so more area but same turning. I bet the A130 will be better towing than the P100, especially if you’re a heavier rider.

The added area will probably make up for the lower aspect and be way more stable. I’d take a medium aspect for towing any day.

I was looking at this as well. I was wondering if anybody had any feedback or comparisons between the viper 90 and the aggressions. not sure which aggression would be closest to the Viper 90? Really killer deals on the 90 on the uni site right now which makes it really appealing. Those were out before I really got into it, but I’m interested in a really surfable foil for towing small waves here in NE Florida.

If you can find one, the Vyper 130 is also exceptional for towing smaller waves, prone overhead walls and punchy beach breaks, kite and wing foil. Only have two regrets in life - one is selling my Vyper 130
