Don’t think there are any rentals available. I took my own gear there. Had a nice cold front which delivered good waves in front of Paradise Island. I also had fun winging to the east of Nassau Harbor near the yacht club. There’s a small public park with minimalist beach which was ok for launching. Be on high alert for locals and tourists on jet skis and go fast boats. They will mow you down and leave you. They do it to each other on the regular.
I don’t know of any part of the island that has consistent or accessible surf for any form of surfing.
I go there at least once a year. There is no significant surf at all. Best place to ride is paradise island. Be prepared for traffic getting around town. There’s also quite a bit of petty crime.
I think there are a couple of EFoil rental places that cater to the high dollar yachting community. If you call or email over there, they MIGHT have something. But I bet it will be super costly, probably better to bring your own.
I recommend getting an inflatable board just for travel. My inflatable mid lengths plus foil plus a wing fits in an airline, friendly, checked bag size
Would love a recommendation for an inflatable midlength that doesn’t suck if yours are delivering what you want out of them. Would also like to know what you are doing with the mast - taking a short one and using a normal suitcase or have you found an bag that can fit an 80-85cm mast and is still inside the standard checked baggage dimension requirements?
I have the zetti midlength style 6’0 x 90L. I did a review here that you can search for. It was my go to wing board for about six months. The trick is to run it a little hot on the pressure. I do around 22 psi and its a game changer. I honestly find the weird shape to be fine, there is some loss of performance with the stiffness though but for winging it it’s not a huge deal, maybe a 90% of the performance of my hardboard. For me, all of my travel is family travel where I might have an opportunity to do a little winging, not winging focus travel. I would never bring this thing on a trip to the gorge or Maui, but it’s great on a family road trip up the coast or we happen to be flying somewhere where there might be some wind. Small enough form factor where the wife isn’t upset with me for logging this giant stupid thing around that I’m not even gonna use!
