Got to ride the 905 and the 760 with the 160 tail and the 78 Apex mast. It’s really good. Check the vid if interested.

Anybody have these or demoed them?
I’m over the socket style connections loosening up and having to repot them frequently
I recently bought the Apex 78 mast, Prestige 905 and 160 stab. I’ve prone foiled it twice, had it on Foil Drive once, and parawinged with it over ten times. I still have and will continue to use AFS foils - but the Cabrinha Prestige has some kind of special sauce on it - just an easy, fun, and surprisingly high performance foil. The Silks turn harder, and the Enduros have slightly better glide - but they demand more attention from me as a rider. Both these brands have the saddle connection and I haven’t had an issue with them loosening. What type of bolts are you using? OEM?
I’m on Unifoil so the socket/tenon style connection. It seems like the mast is what wears down but maybe the socket on the foil is stretching out?
Either way, the saddle connection seems superior as long as the bolts don’t fail
I prone and occasionally tow so I was looking at the 905 and a whippit. The Silk V2 looks intriguing especially if I could get away with a one foil quiver.

Get up close with those Unifoil wings. Are there little cracks at the ends of the fuse sockets?
I have 78 apex mast, 905/160 and 1150/180. i’ve used the 905/160 about 10 times now and the 1150/180 once. The 1150/180 session was flat water and underpowered but super easy to cruise around on. I’m eager to DW on it in weak conditions to see how it goes. (75 KGs and 100% parawing). The 905/160 has stepped up my bump riding for sure. Had a section the other day that was 5 mi (full stash) which is a solid step up for me. Our conditions (Outerbanks, NC) are generally not perfectly lined up (wind 45d off ground swell and cross chop on top). I’d classify these wings as user friendly and stable, which allows me to ride a bit higher on mast and screw up a bit less. They also pump/glide like everyone says, so digging out of a hole and getting to that next piece of energy is now possible for me. (I’m 62, so …).

Rode 1150/160 for typical ocean DW yesterday. The low end was as expected and pump was easy. But I liked it less than 905/160 because of slower top end and less nimble turning. When approaching faster ground swell the up and over was usually not the right move, so lots of pulling over the back to bank on the follower. I suppose none of this is a surprise, but figured worth a report. I remain super happy with these setups. Looks like another good DW on tap for today. These reps are fantastic!
Ps run is from ramp 32 to Waves on the OBX. Strava shows run as 12NM. Wind is side off in SW, but frequently decent. Yesterday was 20-25. I ride vayu pyro 3.2 which was just right. Ground swell not lined up that great with surface chop. After a while the patterns emerge and it works. Lately I’ve been getting 2-4 miles between fails. Better guys can ride it clean. Still…I’m super excited about it all!
