Just tested one battery on the old Flow-Custom pod setup and one on the new integrated mast.
The Flow-Custom is pretty great compared to the stock Foil Drive pod. Once you get used to it, pumping out of pod dips is pretty easy.
This new integrated mast is shockingly good. You really don’t notice the pod dips at all. I caught a nice third roller from a surf boat and purposely dipped a few times… you can rise right back up like it’s not even there. The entry and exit under power is night and day. You don’t get that usual “bump” of drag before the push.
I’ve ridden the Armstrong integrated mast a few times before, but I’d like to do a back-to-back test again because I don’t remember it being this slick.
As for the mast itself, it feels just like the 80 UHM. I rode it with the 900 Enduro and threw down some hard inside-to-outside cutback carves, and didn’t notice any flex at all.

i wonder if Code has the orange vinyl sticker to cover the carbon workings of adapting the mast. The AFS one looks like it needs a pinhole topcoat pass
I actually wondered yesterday what the orange stripe was about.
If you run your fingers across, its butter smooth, with no texture from the pin holes.
